- Why should I hire a professional
photographer instead of having a friend or mom and day take a picture?
A professional will be timely and will get you quality results to
you. A professional has just the right equipment and backup equipment.
Having photographed many people and seniors an experienced photographer
will be at ease which will help put you at ease. A professional
uses a color lab that is in the business of meeting high professional
standards or print quality. A real pro is also used to working with
individuals, couples, and groups to make the formal photography
go smoothly. When you think about the cost of photography you have
to keep in mind that the photographer's fee is only part of your
investment: You will be investing time with the photographer during
your session. Don't waste time on with a photographer who won't
produce the results and memories you will cherish for the rest of
your life.
- How long before we can view the images?
Senior portrait images are online within 1 week. Once you pick out
which photos you want we can generally have the order to you in
another week.
- What do I look for - how
can I tell good from bad photography ?
Look for the photography you like and that meets these standards:
1) Impact - The images should show your personality. 2) Correct
color, density and focus. Most images should have a ful range of
tones. Is the work bright or washed out? Are the images out of focus?
Are the eyes natural or contain red? A good photographer will create
gorgeous photographers beginning till end. 3) Posure - this is in
the traditional portraits. Does everyone look nice. Are ties straight,
the ladies hair in place, the brides dress displayed well? The last
thing you want is a picture of the bride with smudged makeup, hair
out of place, her necklace hanging crooked, and her dress just tossed
how ever.
- Why is photography so expensive?
Experience, experience, experience. A professional has had the opportunity
to photograph hundreds if not thousands of people. With that much
experience, practice and training a photographer becomes worthy
since they can provide quality work time and time again. A pro will
not only give you great images but give you quality prints that
will last a life time. You have to remember that your family and
friends will be looking at your senior portraits. In the long run
having spent a little extra is worth it.
- Is there a retainer fee?
Yes, the retainer fee is $75.00. Naturally this is applied towards
your balance.
- Will you location scout
the wedding?
Yes, if I am not familiar with the location, I will scout the location
prior to the session.
- What kind of equipment do
you use?
I use a Canon 5D digital SLR with a multitude of L series Canon
lenses.
- Do you bring backup equipment?
Yes, I also bring a Canon Rebel Xti digital SLR to serve as a back
up camera just in case.
- Will we get DVD’s
of all the photos and can we make prints ourselves?
Yes, most of our packages include the digital negatives.
