Mike Poynter Wedding Photo Check List

Couple: ___________________________ Date: __________________

This is a basic checklist I use to ensure I capture the photos needed. It shows many of the possible photographs that can be taken for a wedding and is a starting point of pictures wanted. All the items shown on the lists are what I try and capture during the wedding day. There always has to be those posed shots however I also like to take a lot of shots of people just interacting and the moments just happening.

Guidelines

Plan on three no less than (2) minutes per picture line. This takes into account finding everyone for that particular arrangement, placing the people into the pose needed, clothes corrected and taking multiple images. If all the pictures denoted above (the arranged poses) were taken on the wedding day it would take at least 1.5 - 2 hours to record all of them onto film. You do not want to be rushed.

Write down any special group or person images wanted. Be Specific. If you want a specific "look" to your wedding or a staged shot please provide examples from magazines.

It is the responsibility of the couple, the wedding coordinator, or some other designated person to ensure that the person or group of people whom they want photographs of are available to be photographed.
